Meet the crew!
Dan Greenbaum - Arborist

Dan grew up in rural Kent Connecticut and has played in trees and trucks as long as he can remember. He left Kent and returned with a degree in sculpture and the experience of travel in many south american countries.

He was teaching whitewater kayaking on weekends for a number of years when the love of his life decided to sign up for a lesson. With a young son and daughter on the way, he needed to help provide for their kids. Though he had long been involved in construction and maintenance, he loved trees and being outdoors, and working big, so it made sense to combine this with his obsession for power tools and heights to become an arborist and treehouse builder.

Dan trained and qualified for his arborist certification because he wanted to understand how to care for trees and be able to work in and around them while only improving their health and longevity.

Occasionally, he gets the opportunity to combine his love of sculpture and trees. He has created custom treehouses, outdoor showers, cabanas, gardens and more.

He is always investing in the latest safety equipment, expanding his knowledge of trees and advancing his climbing and rigging skills.
Ted DeVoe - Ground Operations

Dan and Ted met as kids paddling the Housatonic river and have been friends ever since. To this day they occasionally paddle together in the 'dynamic duo' (a two person whitewater kayak) - down a class 5 rapid. Ted enjoys his outdoor playtime which also includes snowboarding and mountain biking.
